Given that environmental consciousness is such an important factor today, does even “cat litter” need to be eco-friendly? Efforts are currently being made around the world to address global warming and toward energy and resource saving. “Cat litter” is an essential supply when keeping cats – while products made with clay-type materials have been mainstream in the past, cat litter made with paper is drawing increased attention from an environmentally conscious perspective. We have developed a proprietary eco-system capable of producing cat litter using paper materials that had been disposed of as waste in the past. DAIKI delivers superior eco-friendly products without compromising on quality.

Research and development for achieving more superior products

Since being founded, Daiki has focused efforts on research and development as an expert in paper cat litter, in order to manufacture products that consistently meet the needs of customers. To this end, we have acquired numerous patents in Japan and overseas. In 2022, the “R&D Center” was established at the Moka Factory to further enhance research and development capabilities. Efforts are being made to boost these capabilities with the aim of further improving quality, developing new products and expanding overseas.

Producing cat litter helps reduce industrial waste and facilitates material recycling. The key characteristics of our products is that they are made with recycled materials such as non-compliant items during production processes, rejected lot hygiene products like disposable diapers and pulp-based non-woven fabric.
Using these effectively as materials helps to reduce environmental impact and increase product quality – the essential aspects of DAIKI’s business model.
